Commissioning your own piece of bespoke furniture might seem a little daunting, but in truth it is an exciting experience for us both.
We start by arranging an informal meeting at your home. This allows me to discuss your ideas and requirements, to see where the piece is going to live, and to take note of the surroundings and other furniture in the room. We will discuss timber types, design styles, budget and timescale. This initial meeting is of course free of charge.
Over the next few weeks I will produce some ideas based on our discussions and will return to see you with sketches and wood samples. Your input here is vital; the piece must be exactly as you want it, and your comments are important. Once everything is agreed then I will give you the exact cost of the work involved and an approximate delivery date. You will be expected to pay a deposit to cover timber expenses and the piece will normally be ready between 6 and 12 months.
Once the commission is in progress you would be more than welcome to visit the workshop to see your piece being made.
